My name is Mandy. I am a Mom, a wife, and a trained speech-language pathologist. When I had my second child, I stopped practicing and decided to focus on my family. For a long time now, I have been “just a mom”.

My family recently moved to a new house in Portland, Oregon. It’s a great house, but needs quite a bit of work. This is where I have found my new passion. After getting quotes for all of the work we wanted to do, we quickly realized we either needed to do it our self or settle for less. My husband works very long hours, so I decided it was up to me.

I have always been good at two things. 1: Working with my hands and 2: teaching myself how to do things. So, it is only logical (and maybe a bit laughable) that I believe I can teach myself how to remodel my house.

So I am going to take you with me as I start this process and you will get to see the good, the bad , and the ugly!
